Gilly and Marsh decimated Royal Challengers bowlers as Kings XI Punjab demolished Royal Challengers Bangalore by 111 runs. Adam Gilchrist won the toss and decided to bat. After a steady start for the first 5 overs, skipper Adam Gilchrist and fellow Australian Shaun Marsh demolished RCB bowling throughout the rest of the innings as they also broke the record for the highest partnership for any wicket in any T20 match. Adam Gilchrist got his second IPL ton as he scored 106 runs off 55 balls while Shaun Marsh scored 79 runs off 49 balls to guide KXIP to the highest score of IPL 4 at 232/2 in 20 overs. Charl Langeveldt took 2 wickets for RCB. In reply, RCB batsmen were bundled out for 121 in 17 overs as KXIP defeated RCB by the second highest run margin of defeat by any team in IPL history . Piyush Chawla took 4 wickets, Ryan Harris took 3 wickets and Shalabh Srivastava took 2 wickets for KXIP. Adam Gilchrist was awarded the Man of the Match for his amazing knock.

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in a rain curtailed match at Bangalore. Virat Kohli won the toss as the skipper of RCB and put KKR to bat. KKR top order failed yet again and as Yusuf Pathan (36 runs off 24 balls) was starting to strike boundaries rain came and stopped play. After resumption of match KKR scored 89/4 in 13 overs. Charl Langeveldt took 2 wickets for RCB and the revised target for RCB was 102 runs from 13 overs as per D/L method. In reply, Chris Gayle (68 runs off 12 balls) blasted off yet again as RCB cruised to 105/6 in 12.3 overs. Jacques Kallis took 2 wickets for KKR. Chris Gayle was awarded the Man of the Match again for his blistering knock.

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets at their fortress Jaipur as they nearly eliminated RR chances of making it the playoffs of IPL 4. Virat Kohli won the toss as he led the RCB team in the absence of Vettori due to injury and put RR to bat. Rahul Dravid (37 runs off 31 balls) and Shane Watson (34 runs off 29 balls) gave them a steady opening stand but the other failed to capitalized on the start as they were restricted by RCB bowlers to only 146/6 in 20 overs. S Aravind took 3 wickets for RCB. In reply, Chris Gayle thrashed everyone once again as he scored 70 runs off 44 balls and was supported by Tilakaratne Dilshan (38 runs off 24 balls) and Virat Kohli (39 runs off 34 balls) as they cruised to 151/1 in 17 overs. S Aravind was awarded the Man of the Match for his 3 wickets.

Royal Challengers Bangalore demolished Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 9 wickets with a massive 41 balls remaining. KTK captain Mahela Jayawardena won the toss and decided to bat. After a good start, KTK soon lost wickets and lost their way infront of a disciplined RCB bowling and fielding and ended up with only 125/9 in 20 overs. Daniel Vettori and S Aravind took 2 wickets for the RCB. In reply, Chris Gayle blazed off today too as he scored 44 runs in only 20 balls including a 47 runs off a single over of Prasanth Parameswaran and Tillakaratne Dilshan also scored 52 runs off 31 balls as RCB reached 128/1 in only 13.1 overs. Chris Gayle was awarded the Man of the Match for his quickfire 44.
