Kochi Tuskers Kerala demolished Rajasthan Royals at Indore as they restricted RR to only 97 runs and then achieved the target in merely 7.2 overs. KTK captain Mahela Jayawardena won the toss and put RR to bat. All the RR wickets kept falling as the Royals were bowled out for 97 runs in 18.3 overs. Brad Hodge took 4 wickets for KTK while Sreesanth and Prasanth Parameswaran contributed with a couple of wickets each. In reply, KTK blasted off and cruised to 98/2 in only 7.2 overs with Brad Hodge emerging as their top scorer too with 33 runs. Brad Hodge was awarded the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets for 13 runs in 4 overs and then his knock of 33 runs off 17 balls.

Kochi Tuskers Kerala defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 17 runs at the final home game at Nehru Stadium, Kochi. KKR captain Gautam Gambhir won the toss and put KTK to bat. Kochi Tuskers Kerala captain Mahela Jayawardena led from the front as he scored 55 runs off 41 balls and then Brad Hodge scored a furious 35 runs off 19 balls including 21 runs off Lee in the final over of the KTK innings to guide Kochi to a competitive total of 156/5 in 20 overs. Jaidev Unadkat took 2 wickets for KKR. In reply, KKR went with a steady start as Eoin Morgan (66 runs off 51 balls) and Jacques Kallis (45 runs off 41 balls) played steadily but none of the other batsmen could speed off as they kept on losing wickets and ended with only 137/7 in 20 overs. Vinay Kumar and Gomez took 2 wickets each for KTK. Brad Hodge was awarded the Man of the Match for his crucial knock and his fielding.

Rajasthan Royals cruised over Kochi Tuskers Kerala as they won the match by 8 wickets with 35 balls remaining at their fortress Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put Kochi Tuskers Kerala to bat. Kochi kept on losing wickets continuously and were bowled out by RR for a paltry total of 190 all out in 20 overs. Shane Warne took 3 wickets for 16 run while Siddharth Trivedi took 3 wickets for 19 runs. In reply, Shane Watson (49 runs off 40 balls) and Rahul Dravid (44 runs off 37 balls) guided Rajasthan Royals to an easy victory as RR cruised to the target in just 14.1 overs. Shane Warne was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance.

Sachin Tendulkar scored his maiden IPL century today as he played a captain’s knock to guide the team to 182/2 in 20 overs. But Kochi Tuskers Kerala did the unbelievable and pulled up a huge upset against the Mumbai Indians on their home ground as they won with 6 balls to spare. KTK captain Mahela Jayawardena won the toss and put Mumbai Indians to bat. Sachin scored 100 runs off only 66 balls and Ambati Rayudu scored 53 off merely 33 balls as they set KTK a target of 183 runs to win. But the two experienced campaigners Brendon McCullum (81 runs off 60 balls) and Mahela Jayawardena (56 runs off 36 balls) gave the team a brilliant start as they put on a partnership of 128 runs for the first wicket. After their fall, Ravindra Jadeja (25 runs off 11 balls) and Brad Hodge (11 runs off 7 balls) also contributed as Kochi Tuskers Kerala reached 184/2 in just 19 overs. Lasith Malinga took both the KTK wickets but was extremely expensive as he got hammered 42 runs off his 4 overs. Brendon McCullum was awarded the Man of the Match for his blazing innings.
