With a very useful innings from J P Duminy (52 off 37 balls) after the foundation laid by Sachin Tendulkar (34 off 30 balls), Mumbai Indians reached 148/6 in 20 overs. Kolkata could not keep up with the required run rate when they came to bat and even a brilliant innings by Brad Hodge (73 off 60 balls) and Morne van Wyk (32 off 35 balls) could not save them as they ended up with only 139/6 in their 20 overs.
