Delhi Daredevils defeated Deccan Chargers by 4 wickets with 6 balls remaining as Virender Sehwag blasted a blazing ton at Hyderabad. Delhi Daredevils captain won the toss and put Deccan Chargers to bat. JP Duminy (55 runs off 31 balls) and Kumar Sangakkara (44 runs off 36 balls) scored heavily as DC reached a more than par score of 175/5 in 20 overs. Ajit Agarkar took 2 wickets for Delhi Daredevils. In reply, Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag went off to a flier himself as the scored 119 runs off merely 56 balls to guide his team to 179/6 in 19 overs. Dale Steyn and Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets each for DC. Sehwag was awarded the Man of the Match for his innings.

Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Deccan Chargers by 20 runs to again replace Mumbai Indians at the top of the points table as of now. Deccan Chargers captain Sangakkara won the toss and put Kolkata Knight Riders to bat. Yusuf Pathan (47 runs off 26 balls), Gautam Gambhir (35 runs off 22 balls), Manoj Tiwary (33 runs off 28 balls) and Jacques Kallis (30 runs off 31 balls) contributed as KKR reached 169/4 in 20 overs. In reply, Shikhar Dhawan (54 runs off 45 balls) and Ravi Teja (30 runs off 22 balls) gave some resistance but they could only score 149/6 in 20 overs. Iqbal Abdulla and Rajat Bhatia took 2 wickets each for the Kolkata Knight Riders. Yusuf Pathan was awarded the Man of the Match for his blazing knock and economical 3 overs during bowling.

Chennai Super Kings defeated Deccan Chargers by 19 runs. CSK captain Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat. Suresh Raina (59 runs off 35 balls) and Michael Hussey (46 runs off 41 balls) played useful knocks as CSK reached 165/5 in 20 overs. Pragyan Ojha shined with the ball for Deccan Chargers as he took 3 wickets for 26 runs in his 4 overs. Deccan Chargers started well as their opener Sunny Sohal scored 56 runs off 30 balls but none of the other batsmen scored big and they kept on losing wickets as they ended up with only 146/8 in 20 overs. Albie Morkel took 3 wickets for CSK while Doug Bollinger and Shadab Jakati contributed with a couple of wickets each. Deccan Chargers demolished Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 55 runs at Kochi as they bundled out the hosts for only 74 runs. Kochi captain Mahela Jayawardena won the toss and put Deccan Chargers to bat. DC kept on losing wickets regularly but Kumar Sangakkara played a captain’s knock of 65 runs off 47 balls and he took the team to a modest total of 129/7 in 20 overs with support from Cameron White (31 runs off 34 balls). R Vinay Kumar took 3 wickets for Kochi while RP Singh scalped 2 wickets. In reply, Ishant Sharma demolished the Kochi top order batsmen in his 5 wicket haul as KTK were reeling at 11/6 in just 4 overs. Though the KTK tried to provide some resistance but it was too late as Kochi Tuskers Kerala were bundled out for merely 74 runs in 16.3 overs. Ishant Sharma scalped 5 wickets for 12 runs in his 3 overs while Dale Steyn took 3 wickets for 16 runs in 3.3 overs. Ishant was awarded the Man of the Match for his 5 wicket haul.
