Chenai Super Kings defeated Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 11 runs as they remained undefeated at their home ground at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai through IPL 4. CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat. They lost a few early wickets but Wriddhiman Saha rose to the occasion as he scored 46 runs off 33 balls to guide CSK to 152/5 in 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets for KTK. In reply, Kochi Tuskers Kerala could only score 141/5 in 20 overs as Brendon McCullum top scored with 33 runs off 37 balls. Wriddhiman Saha was awarded the Man of the Match for his crucial knock.

Kochi Tuskers Kerala demolished Rajasthan Royals at Indore as they restricted RR to only 97 runs and then achieved the target in merely 7.2 overs. KTK captain Mahela Jayawardena won the toss and put RR to bat. All the RR wickets kept falling as the Royals were bowled out for 97 runs in 18.3 overs. Brad Hodge took 4 wickets for KTK while Sreesanth and Prasanth Parameswaran contributed with a couple of wickets each. In reply, KTK blasted off and cruised to 98/2 in only 7.2 overs with Brad Hodge emerging as their top scorer too with 33 runs. Brad Hodge was awarded the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets for 13 runs in 4 overs and then his knock of 33 runs off 17 balls.

Kings XI Punjab defeated Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 6 wickets in a high scoring encounter. Kings XI Punjab captain Adam Gilchrist won the toss and put KTK to bat. Mahela Jayawardene played a captain’s knock as he scored 76 runs off 52 balls and guided his team to 178/7 in 20 overs. Bipul Sharma took 2 wickets for KXIP. In reply, Dinesh Karthik (69 runs off 33 balls) and Shaun Marsh (42 runs off 30 balls) scored big as King XI Punjab reached 181/4 in 18.5 overs. RP Singh took 4 wickets for KTK though he could not stop the KXIP win. Dinesh Karthik was awarded the Man of the Match for his match winning knock.

Royal Challengers Bangalore demolished Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 9 wickets with a massive 41 balls remaining. KTK captain Mahela Jayawardena won the toss and decided to bat. After a good start, KTK soon lost wickets and lost their way infront of a disciplined RCB bowling and fielding and ended up with only 125/9 in 20 overs. Daniel Vettori and S Aravind took 2 wickets for the RCB. In reply, Chris Gayle blazed off today too as he scored 44 runs in only 20 balls including a 47 runs off a single over of Prasanth Parameswaran and Tillakaratne Dilshan also scored 52 runs off 31 balls as RCB reached 128/1 in only 13.1 overs. Chris Gayle was awarded the Man of the Match for his quickfire 44.
