Rajasthan Royals thrashed Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets as they gave a great farewell gift to Shane Warne in his last professional cricket match. Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and decided to bat. But none of the MI batsmen except Rohit Sharma (58 runs off 47 balls) clicked infront of the Rajasthan bowling as they were restricted to only 133/5 in 20 overs. Shane Watson took 3 wickets for the Royals. In reply, Rajasthan Royals openers Shane Watson (89 runs off 47 balls) and Rahul Dravid (43 runs off 32 balls) plundered the MI bowlers are RR cruised to 134 runs in 13.1 overs without losing even a single wicket. Kochi Tuskers Kerala demolished Rajasthan Royals at Indore as they restricted RR to only 97 runs and then achieved the target in merely 7.2 overs. KTK captain Mahela Jayawardena won the toss and put RR to bat. All the RR wickets kept falling as the Royals were bowled out for 97 runs in 18.3 overs. Brad Hodge took 4 wickets for KTK while Sreesanth and Prasanth Parameswaran contributed with a couple of wickets each. In reply, KTK blasted off and cruised to 98/2 in only 7.2 overs with Brad Hodge emerging as their top scorer too with 33 runs. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets at their fortress Jaipur as they nearly eliminated RR chances of making it the playoffs of IPL 4. Virat Kohli won the toss as he led the RCB team in the absence of Vettori due to injury and put RR to bat. Rahul Dravid (37 runs off 31 balls) and Shane Watson (34 runs off 29 balls) gave them a steady opening stand but the other failed to capitalized on the start as they were restricted by RCB bowlers to only 146/6 in 20 overs. S Aravind took 3 wickets for RCB. In reply, Chris Gayle thrashed everyone once again as he scored 70 runs off 44 balls and was supported by Tilakaratne Dilshan (38 runs off 24 balls) and Virat Kohli (39 runs off 34 balls) as they cruised to 151/1 in 17 overs. S Aravind was awarded the Man of the Match for his 3 wickets.

Chennai Super Kings thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 63 runs at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur which has always been regarded as a sort of fortress for the RR team where they have been nearly impossible to beat all these years. Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put CSK to bat. Michael Hussey (46 runs off 30 balls) and Murali Vijay (53 runs off 40 balls) gave them a great start following by two more good knocks by Suresh Raina (43 runs off 27 balls) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (41 runs off 19 balls) as CSK scored a massive 196/3 in 20 overs. In reply, Rajasthan Royals kept on losing wickets cheaply with the exception of Ajinkya Rahane (52 runs off 36 balls) as they got all out for just 133 runs in 19.3 overs. Doug Bollinger took 3 wickets while R Ashwin also took 2 wickets for the Super Kings. Suresh Raina also took 2 wickets in just 3 balls he bowled at the end of the match without giving away any runs. Murali Vijay was awarded the Man of the Match for his half century.

Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets with 8 balls remaining as they posted their fourth consecutive win. RR captain Warne won the toss and decided to bat. Rajasthan Royals made a great start as they scored 86 runs in the first 10 overs without losing even a single wicket. But after the openers Rahul Dravid (66 runs off 51 balls) and Shane Watson (32 runs off 26 balls) departed, the rest of the batsmen failed to capitalize on the start and RR kept on losing wickets cheaply as they ended up with just 147/6 in their 20 overs. Albie Morkel and Shadab Jakati took 2 wickets each for CSK. Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put Pune Warriors to bat. Though Robin Uthappa (35 runs off 21 balls) and Manish Pandey (30 runs off 31 balls) scored some runs but others did not even click to that level as they ended up with only 143/7 in 20 overs. Siddharth Trivedi took 2 wickets for Royals. In reply, RR also faced some hiccup and wickets kept on falling cheaply but then Ross Taylor scored 47 runs off 35 balls to guide them to 144/4 in 19.3 overs. Kolkata Knight Riders thrashed Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens with 6.1 overs to spare as they topped the points table perhaps for the first time in IPL history. After the consecutive wins in the last two matches, it was hardly a surprise that Eden Gardens was almost suddenly filled up today after the low attendance in the previous matches which many felt was due to the “Dada effect”. Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir won the toss and put Rajasthan Royals to bat. An awesome bowling and fielding display by KKR players and a pathetic batting display by Royals made the RR fold up in just 81 runs all out in 15.2 overs. Lakshmipathy Balaji (3 wickets for 15 runs) and Shakib Al Hassan (2 wickets for 21 runs) were the pick of the bowlers for KKR. In reply, KKR lost a couple of early wickets but KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir (35 runs off 35 balls) and Manoj Tiwary (30 runs off 26 balls) played steady knocks as Kolkata Knight Riders reached 85/2 in just 13.5 overs.
