All the 10 teams participating in IPL 2011 Season 4 including the two new entrants Sahara Pune Warriors and Kochi Tuskers Kerala have announced their final list of players in their respective teams. Out of the teams, Sahara Pune Warriors is the only team to have registered their full quota of 30 players in the squad. The schedule for IPL 4 has been revised taking into account the upcoming assembly elections in the five Indian states of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry. Three out of the five states have an IPL team associated to one of their cities. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has its base in the capital of West Bengal, Kolkata. Sourav Ganguly made his IPL 4 debut as Sahara Pune Warriors defeated Deccan Chargers by 6 wickets. Deccan Chargers captain Sangakkara won the toss and decided to bat. None of the DC batsmen scored big as they ended up with 136/8 in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh took 4 wickets for the Pune Warriors while PW captain Yuvraj Singh scalped a couple of wickets. Chennai Super Kings thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 63 runs at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur which has always been regarded as a sort of fortress for the RR team where they have been nearly impossible to beat all these years. Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put CSK to bat. Michael Hussey (46 runs off 30 balls) and Murali Vijay (53 runs off 40 balls) gave them a great start following by two more good knocks by Suresh Raina (43 runs off 27 balls) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (41 runs off 19 balls) as CSK scored a massive 196/3 in 20 overs.
