All the 10 teams participating in IPL 2011 Season 4 including the two new entrants Sahara Pune Warriors and Kochi Tuskers Kerala have announced their final list of players in their respective teams. Out of the teams, Sahara Pune Warriors is the only team to have registered their full quota of 30 players in the squad. IPL 4 revised schedule
The schedule for IPL 4 has been revised taking into account the upcoming assembly elections in the five Indian states of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry. Three out of the five states have an IPL team associated to one of their cities. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has its base in the capital of West Bengal, Kolkata. Kochi Tuskers Kerala thrashed Delhi Daredevils by 7 runs with 5 overs remaining. Kochi captain Jayawardene won the toss and put Delhi Daredevils to bat. Venugopal Rao scored 40 runs off 36 balls and Trevis Birt scored 27 off 15 but none of the others clicked as Delhi ended up with a less than average total of 140/6 in 20 overs. Rajasthan Royals defeated Sahara Pune Warriors at their fortress Jaipur as they jumped to the top of the points table of IPL 4 as of now. Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put Pune Warriors to bat. Though Robin Uthappa (35 runs off 21 balls) and Manish Pandey (30 runs off 31 balls) scored some runs but others did not even click to that level as they ended up with only 143/7 in 20 overs. Siddharth Trivedi took 2 wickets for Royals. In reply, RR also faced some hiccup and wickets kept on falling cheaply but then Ross Taylor scored 47 runs off 35 balls to guide them to 144/4 in 19.3 overs.
