Sehwag ton flattens Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad 0

Delhi Daredevils defeated Deccan Chargers by 4 wickets with 6 balls remaining as Virender Sehwag blasted a blazing ton at Hyderabad. Delhi Daredevils captain won the toss and put Deccan Chargers to bat. JP Duminy (55 runs off 31 balls) and Kumar Sangakkara (44 runs off 36 balls) scored heavily as DC reached a more than par score of 175/5 in 20 overs. Ajit Agarkar took 2 wickets for Delhi Daredevils. In reply, Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag went off to a flier himself as the scored 119 runs off merely 56 balls to guide his team to 179/6 in 19 overs. Dale Steyn and Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets each for DC. Sehwag was awarded the Man of the Match for his innings.

Mumbai Indians thrash Kings XI Punjab in Match 42 of IPL T20 season 2 0

Yuvraj Singh won the toss and decided to bat. Sunny Sohal scored a blazing 43 runs of 23 balls but rest of the Kings XI Punjab batsmen went out cheaply and the team reached only 119/9 in 20 overs. The spinners bowled exceptionally well for the Mumbai Indians as they were economical while they took wickets at regular intervals. Mumbai Indians chased the score easily and reached 122/2 in 16.2 overs with Dwayne Bravo (70 off 59 balls) and Sachin Tendulkar (41 off 29 balls) playing blistering innings. Harbhajan Singh was awarded the Man of the Match for his bowling spell of 1 wicket for 9 runs in his 4 overs.

In Match 38 of IPL T20 season 2, Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and elected to bat. J P Duminy (59 off 41 balls) and Ajinkya Rahane (62 off 49 balls) guided Mumbai Indians to 157/2 in 20 overs. Bangalore Royal Challengers lost too many wickets early on and even a 48 runs off 33 balls by Mark Boucher could not save them from defeat as they scored only 141/7 in 20 overs. J P Duminy was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock.

The dismal performance of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL continued as Mumbai Indians beat them by 9 runs in the 23rd Match of IPL T20 season 2. Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and decided to bat. With a very useful innings from J P Duminy (52 off 37 balls) after the foundation laid by Sachin Tendulkar (34 off 30 balls), Mumbai Indians reached 148/6 in 20 overs. Kolkata could not keep up with the required run rate when they came to bat and even a brilliant innings by Brad Hodge (73 off 60 balls) and Morne van Wyk (32 off 35 balls) could not save them as they ended up with only 139/6 in their 20 overs. Zaheer Khan was brilliant with the ball with bowling figures of 3 wickets for 31 runs. J P Duminy was awarded with the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock of 52 off 37 balls.
