Rajasthan Royals defeated Sahara Pune Warriors at their fortress Jaipur as they jumped to the top of the points table of IPL 4 as of now. Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put Pune Warriors to bat. Though Robin Uthappa (35 runs off 21 balls) and Manish Pandey (30 runs off 31 balls) scored some runs but others did not even click to that level as they ended up with only 143/7 in 20 overs. Siddharth Trivedi took 2 wickets for Royals. In reply, RR also faced some hiccup and wickets kept on falling cheaply but then Ross Taylor scored 47 runs off 35 balls to guide them to 144/4 in 19.3 overs. Ross Taylor was awarded the Man of the Match for his knock.

Rajasthan Royals halted the winning streak of Mumbai Indians as they thrashed MI by 7 wickets at their fortress Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put MI to bat. Mumbai Indians kept on losing wickets regularly and ended up with only 94/8 in 20 overs. Johan Botha, Amit Singh and Ashok Menaria took 3, 2 and 2 wickets respectively. In reply, Rajasthan Royals played steady as they cruised to 95/3 in 18.1 overs as Johan Botha scored 45 runs off 39 balls. Munaf Patel took 2 wickets for MI. Johan Botha was awarded the Man of the Match for his all round performance.

Rajasthan Royals cruised over Kochi Tuskers Kerala as they won the match by 8 wickets with 35 balls remaining at their fortress Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put Kochi Tuskers Kerala to bat. Kochi kept on losing wickets continuously and were bowled out by RR for a paltry total of 190 all out in 20 overs. Shane Warne took 3 wickets for 16 run while Siddharth Trivedi took 3 wickets for 19 runs. In reply, Shane Watson (49 runs off 40 balls) and Rahul Dravid (44 runs off 37 balls) guided Rajasthan Royals to an easy victory as RR cruised to the target in just 14.1 overs. Shane Warne was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance.

Kings XI Punjab defeated Rajasthan Royals by 48 runs in their third consecutive win after the two initial losses. Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne won the toss and put KXIP to bat. But Kings XI Punjab blazed away and also scored the fastest fifth in IPL history mainly due to blazing innings by Paul Valthaty (46 runs off 31 balls) and Adam Gilchrist (26 runs off 16 balls). After they got out Shaun Marsh (71 runs off 42 balls) continued though they lost momentum in the final 5 overs of the KXIP innings after he got out as they reached 195/7 in 20 overs. Shaun Tait took two wickets for the Rajasthan Royals while Shane Watson chipped in with 2 wickets. In reply, Rajasthan Royals kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and all their big names got out cheaply as they ended with only 147/7 in 20 overs. Shaun Marsh was awarded the Man of the Match for his elegant yet explosive innings.
