Mumbai Indians defeated Sahara Pune Warriors by 7 wickets in a closely fought low scoring match. Pune captain Yuvraj won the toss and decided to bat. But Pune Warriors were bundled out by the Mumbai bowlers as they could manage only 188 all out in 17.2 overs. Robin Uthappa was the highest scorer for Pune Warriors with 45 runs off 37 balls while Munaf Patel (3 wickets for 8 runs), Abu Nechim Ahmed (2 wickets for 13 runs), Ali Murtaza (2 wickets for 18 runs) and Lasith Malinga (2 wickets for 28 runs) were the main wicket takers fro the Mumbai Indians. Sachin Tendulkar (35 runs off 39 balls) and Ambati Rayudu (37 runs off 40 balls) were the highest scorers for Mumbai. Munaf Patel was awarded the Man of the Match for his 3 wickets and economical bowling.

Th GOD of cricket Sachin Tendulkar and former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly will lead their respective teams as they clash in a T20 match on Saturday, 6th March, 2010 at 4:30 PM Indian Time. The match named “Cricket Ka Mahayudh” will be played at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. It has also been termed as a SABM (Salil Ankola Benefit Match) and will be a T20 match. The gates will open at 2 PM and the toss would take place at 4:15 PM. The Match will be telecast on Star Cricket.

In Match 49 of IPL 2, Adam Gilchrist won the toss and put Kngs XI Punjab to bat. The Kings XI Punjab batsmen struggled with the bat and they could only score 134/7 in 20 overs with the help of an useful 56 runs off 43 balls by Kumar Sangakkara. Deccan Chargers lost wickets at regular intervals when they came to bat and although the match turned into a thriller once again in the last over but Rohit Sharma (42 off 26 balls) could not script the victory as Deccan Chargers lost by merely 1 run. The best moment of the match was when Yuvraj Singh took his second hat-trick of IPL 2. Yuvraj Singh was awarded the Man of the Match for his hat-trick and his 20 runs off 18 balls.

Deccan Chargers beat Kolkata Knight Riders in a thriller in Match 48 of IPL T20 season 2. Adam Gilchrist won the toss and put Kolkata Knight Riders to bat. Kolkata Knight Riders reached to a decent total of 160/5 in 20 overs with Brad Hodge (48 off 41 balls) and David Hussey (43 off 17 balls) playing brilliant innings. Deccan Chargers started the chase very well and Adam Gilchrist (43 off 31 balls) hit fours and sixes making it look easy chase for the Chargers. But then he got out and other wickets also fell in quick succession which increased the pressure and the required run rate. The situation was such that 21 runs were needed in the last over but Rohit Sharma played brilliantly and scored 26 runs of the last over off Mashrafe Mortaza winning the match for the Deccan Chargers with 166/4 in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma was awarded the Man of the Match his brilliant knock of 32 runs off 13 balls and his bowling figures of 1 wicket for 15 runs.
