Rajasthan Royals defeated Sahara Pune Warriors at their fortress Jaipur as they jumped to the top of the points table of IPL 4 as of now. Royals captain Shane Warne won the toss and put Pune Warriors to bat. Though Robin Uthappa (35 runs off 21 balls) and Manish Pandey (30 runs off 31 balls) scored some runs but others did not even click to that level as they ended up with only 143/7 in 20 overs. Siddharth Trivedi took 2 wickets for Royals. In reply, RR also faced some hiccup and wickets kept on falling cheaply but then Ross Taylor scored 47 runs off 35 balls to guide them to 144/4 in 19.3 overs. Ross Taylor was awarded the Man of the Match for his knock.

Rajasthan Royals won by 7 wickets in their match against Delhi Daredevils at Jaipur today. Delhi Daredevils won the toss and decided to bat but kept on losing wickets throughout. Only David Warner (54 runs off 44 balls) and Venugopal Rao (60 runs off 40 balls) made any noticeable contributions as they reached 151/6 in 20 overs. Shane Warne and Shaun Tait took two wickets each for RR. Rajasthan Royals in reply cruised to the target in 18.3 overs with contributions from Rahul Dravid (38 runs off 31 balls), Johan Botha (39 off 32), Ashok Menaria (22 off 15 balls), Rahane (18 off 17) and Ross Taylor (18 runs off 10 balls). Shane Warne was adjudged the Man of the Match for his bowling and captaincy.

Bangalore Royal Challengers upset Chennai Super Kings by 2 wickets 0

Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat. Matthew Hayden (60 off 38 balls) put Chennai Super Kings to a blazing start and they were looking good for a 160+ score but then the whole Chennai batsmen crumbled suddenly as they were bowled out for 129 runs in 19.4 overs. Anil Kumble, Jacques Kallis and Vinay Kumar took two wickets each for the challengers. Bangalore Royal Challengers also lost wickets at regular intervals when they came to bat Ross Taylor (46 off 50 balls) and Virat Kohli (38 off 35 balls) played useful innings as Bangalore somehow manged to score 132/8 in 19.4 overs. Albie Morkel and Jacob Oram took two wickets each for the Chennai Super Kings. Ross Taylor was awarded the Man of the Match for his useful innings in the run chase.

Ross Taylor scored a blazing 81 runs off 33 balls as Bangalore Royal Challengers defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets. Anil Kumble won the toss and put Kolkata to bat. Brendon McCullum (84 off 64 balls) and David Hussey (43 off 27 balls) top scored as Kolkata Knight Riders reached 173/4 in 20 overs. Bangalore Royal Challengers were struggling a bit and the required run rate went up as they kept losing on wickets. The required run rate went up to almost 12 in the 12th over itself and to 15 later on but then Ross Taylor came to their rescue as he smashed Bangalore bowlers to score 81 runs off 33 balls. Bangalore Royal Challengers reached the target only in 19.2 overs as they scored 176 losing 4 wickets. Ross Taylor was awarded the Man of the Match as well as the most sixes award for his brilliant knock involving 5 sixes.
