T A Sekhar predicts a Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils IPL T20 season 2 final 0

Posted on March 29, 2009 by admin

Delhi Daredevils vice president T A Sekar predicts that the finals of the IPL T20 season 2 might be between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils. He has high hopes especially on Mumbai Indians and he said that Tendulkar’s presence throughout the tournament this year will help the Mumbai Indians in reaching the finals. He said that Mumbai Indians has a very balanced side and has the best chance amongst most of the IPL teams. The team has got batting firepower in Sachin and Jayasuriya through IPL 2 while Zaheer Khan is adept to lead the bowling department. But J P Duminy will strengthen their team this year according to him. But he believes the biggest benefit for Mumbai Indians will be the availability of Sachin this year.

He also had high expectations from his own team Delhi Daredevils with a deadly opening pair in Sehwag-Gambhir which is perhaps the best opening pair in world cricket today. Apart from the two teams, he believed that last years champions Rajasthan Royals and runners up Chennai Super Kings will be powerful this year too. With the inclusion of Andrew Flintoff, Chennai Super Kings will grow into a stronger unit while Tyron Henderson and Robert Quinney will add to the Rajasthan Royals firepower. The predictions seems to be quite calculated but only time will tell if MI vs DD final willl really happen.
