Chennai Super Kings defeat Bangalore Royal Challengers in a thriller at Mumbai to confirm their berth in IPL 4 finals. Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and put Royal Challengers Bangalore to bat. Virat Kohli scored 70 runs off 44 balls and was supported by Mayank Agarwal (34 runs off 33 balls) and Luke Pomersbach (29 runs off 18 balls) as they guided Bangalore to 175/4 in 20 overs. In reply, Chennai lost both their openers and it looked in the middle overs as if they were heading for a defeat. But Suresh Raina (73 runs off 50 balls) played a gem of an innings and was supported by Albie Morkel (28 runs off 10 balls), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (29 runs off 19 balls) and Subramaniam Badrinath (34 runs off 32 balls) as they pulled out an incredible win as they reached 177/4 in 19.4 overs. Zaheer Khan took 2 wickets for RCB. Suresh Raina was awarded the Man of the Match for his amazing knock.

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets at their fortress Jaipur as they nearly eliminated RR chances of making it the playoffs of IPL 4. Virat Kohli won the toss as he led the RCB team in the absence of Vettori due to injury and put RR to bat. Rahul Dravid (37 runs off 31 balls) and Shane Watson (34 runs off 29 balls) gave them a steady opening stand but the other failed to capitalized on the start as they were restricted by RCB bowlers to only 146/6 in 20 overs. S Aravind took 3 wickets for RCB. In reply, Chris Gayle thrashed everyone once again as he scored 70 runs off 44 balls and was supported by Tilakaratne Dilshan (38 runs off 24 balls) and Virat Kohli (39 runs off 34 balls) as they cruised to 151/1 in 17 overs. S Aravind was awarded the Man of the Match for his 3 wickets.

Bangalore Royal Challengers thrashed Sahara Pune Warriors by 26 runs at Bangalore to score their third consecutive win. Pune Warriors captain Yuvraj Singh won the toss and put Bangalore to bat. Chris Gayle blazed off as he scored 49 runs off 26 balls and then Virat Kohli continued as he scored 67 runs off 42 balls. The other RCB batsmen also played aggressively as they amassed 181/5 in 20 overs. Alfonso Thomas and Rahul Sharma took 2 wickets each for the Pune Warriors. In reply, Jesse Ryder (51 off 34 balls) and Yuvraj Singh (41 runs off 23 balls) tried hard but the rest hardly contributed much as they ended up with only 155/5 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock.

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Daredevils in a close match at Feroz Shah Kotla as the visiting team defeated the hosts by 3 wickets with just 3 balls remaining. RCB captain Daneil Vettori won the toss and put Delhi Daredevils to bat. DD lost both the openers early but James Hopes scored 54 runs off 43 balls to guide Delhi to a competitive total of 160/6 in 20 overs. In reply, RCB also kept on losing wickets regularly in a very close chase but Virat Kohli saved the day for Bangalore with his 56 runs off 38 balls as they reached 161/7 in 19.3 overs. Morne Morkel took 3 wickets for Delhi Daredevils. Virat Kohli was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant innings.
