In Match 49 of IPL 2, Adam Gilchrist won the toss and put Kngs XI Punjab to bat. Matthew Hayden (89 runs off 58 balls), Dhoni (56 off 27 balls) and Suresh Raina (32 off 20 balls) smashed apart the Kings XI Punjab bowlers as they scored 185/3 in 18 overs of the rain curtailed match. Kings XI Punjab batsmen also came out very good and the match looked evenly poised with Yuvraj Singh (58 off 36 balls), Simon Katich (50 off 25 balls) and Mahela Jayawardena (44 off 25 balls) hitting flurry of fours and sixes.
