IPL T20 Schedule 2023 : As much as we enjoy all the other leagues, the IPL is our favorite, as cricket is the sport that Indians watch the most. Given its 20-over structure and the renown of the national and international stars who play in it, the Indian Premier League quickly became popular among Indians. True IPL fan ensures they are well-informed of everything occurring on and off the field.
The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) founded the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2007. Every year, IPL will be held during March and May. It is played between the months of March and May each year. There will be 74 total matches played in the forthcoming season because the IPL team size has grown from 8 to 10 in 2022.
Season 16 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will start on March 25, 2023 and ends on May 28, 2023. Here, we’ll provide you with the IPL schedule for 2023. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a highly rated cricket competition in India that is immensely popular with cricket fans.
Let us update you on a few IPL regulations since the format is always evolving:
Match length
The cricket board has set a time limit of 90 minutes for a 20-over inning (the entire game will last 180 minutes), assuming there are no delays caused by inclement weather or poor lighting. It is split into five minutes for strategic timeouts and 85 minutes for the actual game. If there are any delays, the total duration will be reduced by four minutes and fifteen seconds for each. Without taking timeouts into account, the minimum over-rate that must be reached in an hour has also been set at 14.1 overs.
Brief run call
The third umpire will have the authority to overturn an on-field umpire’s decision to deduct a run from the batting team’s total for a batsman’s inability to cross the crease line while attempting to score a run. This change will take effect before the IPL season begins.
Super over
Another revised rule states that further super overs may be played in a continuous match up to an hour after the tied matches’ completion time.
No ball
The third umpire can reverse the on-field umpire’s no-ball determination following IPL rules.
